Why are fruits prohibited on the keto diet? 

Fruits are a blessing from God upon us, so why should we stop them when starting the keto diet? I will show you the answer to this question.
Fruits contain a substance called fructose or fruit sugar. When you eat a lot of fruit sugar, this will lead to insulin resistance, which will lead to obesity and diabetes.
What is insulin?
Insulin: It is a hormone that is produced by cells called beta and is located inside the pancreas.
What is it for?
The purpose of insulin is to help the body use glucose for energy.
What is insulin resistance?
Insulin resistance occurs when the cells in the body do not respond well to insulin, and there is difficulty in absorbing glucose into the cells. Because of this, the beta cells in the pancreas produce more and more insulin in order to help glucose enter the cells, which leads to a rise in the blood sugar level. 
When you start keto, you should stay away from foods that stimulate insulin as much as possible, including fruits, but there are some low-fructose fruits that you can eat when you follow the keto diet.
What is the relationship between fructose sugar and the keto diet?
As we talked about previously, fructose, which is found in most fruits, is the simplest form of carbohydrate. And when we follow keto, we must stay away from carbohydrate sources that lead to high blood sugar and insulin resistance. This means that we must stay away from fructose sugar in order not to get out of the state of ketosis (the fat burning stage), and in the case of ketosis we force our body to use fats as an energy source instead of carbohydrates.
What fruits can you eat when you follow the keto diet?

 What fruits should you stay away from as much as possible because they contain a high amount of sugar and carbohydrates? 
And you must calculate the amount of carbohydrates in these fruits in order not to get out of the state of ketosis and return to the state of insulin resistance. And if you want to really enjoy the keto diet, you can make a coconut milkshake with strawberries or blueberries.
