The Spider-Man Franchise

The Spider-Man franchise from Marvel Comics has today become one of the largest comic superheroes of all time. With more than a thousand issues in print over the past seven years, there has never been a more competitive superhero after Wolverine and the X-Men series. Today, Spider-Man has grown into a million dollar industry where more and more people from around the world have been great admirers of the comic character. There has been a plethora of merchandise being developed about the superhero where individuals from all demographics have been mesmerized by Spidey and his web-swinging abilities.

While all of this has been a part of a fictional revolution, there has been a number of people from the entertainment industry that have managed to take this up a notch. Taking the monotony out of comic books, film makers from around the world have put this superhero into a new franchise. There have been cartoons and television series about the nerdy Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. However, without a doubt, the one franchise that has managed to capture the world by storm is the silver screen where Tobey Maguire has been cast to play Spidey. His contributions to the world of Marvel Comics have been exemplary and his acting skills have been contributory.
